LSE CITIES: VIDEO AS SITE ANALYSIS

In December of 2007, the core studio of the MSc in City Design & Social Science included a three-week workshop called "Video as Site Analysis" that I led. Each of the five teams of students trained a handycam on the sites they had been studying all semester long: they had already mapped existing conditions and investigated social, economic and architectural contexts. The video workshop was their final attempt at (evocative) site analysis before moving on to design and policy proposals in the following semester.
